NIH and FDA to phase out animal testing

PCRM’s 2025 Achievements

  • Led the National Institutes of Health and the Food and Drug Administration in committing to phase out animal testing!
  • Pressured Colorado State University to shut down its human nutrition research study that planned to kill 17,766 animals.
  • Persuaded BOTH St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital and the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson to replace the use of animals to train surgeons with superior, nonanimal methods that replicate human anatomy.
  • Stopped Wake Forest University from using monkeys in a medical training course before it even began.
  • Hosted our 13th annual International Conference on Nutrition in Medicine, gathering the world’s leading experts on the power of plant-based nutrition to improve human health and save animals.
