Breaking: Three victories in the effort to end the use of animals in science
  • The Physicians Committee provided more than 2,800 hours of training to regulators and industry scientists on nonanimal methods through our New Approach Methodology (NAM) Use for Regulatory Application (NURA) continuing education program.
  • Physicians Committee scientists educated toxicologists on cruelty-free research methods at the Society of Toxicology Conference, one of the largest gatherings of toxicologists in the world. The recommendations presented were enthusiastically received.
  • The Physicians Committee influenced recent legislation that provided $5 million to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for activities to reduce animal testing.
