Women's Health Brunch and Learn: Menopausal Hormone Therapy

Are you confused about menopausal hormone therapy and whether it's right for you? Are you wondering about the role of nutrition and exercise in the management of menopausal symptoms?

Join Dr. Vanita Rahman, clinic director at the Barnard Medical Center, and Dania DePas, certified personal trainer, for this valuable seminar.

Using an evidence-based approach, Dr. Rahman will review the symptoms of menopause and the pros and cons of menopausal hormone therapy. Dr. Rahman will also review the role of nutrition and exercise in the management of menopausal symptoms.

Dania will lead an energy-packed exercise class that blends a combination of cardiovascular, strength training, and balance and stability exercises that are appropriate for all fitness levels. Dania will demonstrate exercises proven to improve bone health and decrease the risk of falls and fractures.

Program schedule:
  • 9-9:45 a.m.: Live exercise program with Dania
  • 9:45-10:30 a.m.: Warm and delicious brunch
  • 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.: Education session with Dr. Rahman on menopause and menopausal hormone therapy
