Designed especially for healthcare professionals, this class draws on cutting-edge research from the Women’s Healthy Eating and Living (WHEL) study and others to highlight the impact of diet on cancer recurrence risk and mood regulation.

Participants will:

  • Learn the evidence behind low-fat, high-fiber, plant-based diets and their role in breast cancer survival
  • Understand how specific foods — such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes — can influence hormone levels, inflammation, and emotional well-being
  • Watch a cooking demonstration of simple, affordable, and nutrient-rich recipes that support both physical and emotional health
  • Taste delicious samples such as Homestyle Squash and Pinto Beans, Broccoli with Sesame Salt, and a Mixed Berry Banana Smoothie

This session offers a rich mix of science, storytelling, and culinary inspiration, empowering professionals to confidently discuss diet and mental health with patients and clients.
