Kathleen Carnegie-Grant

Food for Life Instructor

Kathleen Carnegie-Grant

Kathleen worked in the medical field for 20 years as a cardiovascular ultrasound technologist.  She has always been passionate about encouraging friends and family to eat healthily and felt a calling to help her patients, which led her to health coaching.  As a  National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and whole-food plant-based lifestyle advocate she helps women conquer sugar cravings, and fall in love with life-giving foods.

She hid a dark (chocolate) secret.  Although she ate healthy, she struggled with sugar cravings from a young age and most of her adult life, eating chocolate bars every day, and ice cream late at night, especially when stressed!  She witnessed how diabetes and its complications took two of her aunts’ lives too soon.  Being grateful for not yet having diabetes she decided to commit to changing her sugar habit ways.  She did a 10-day Live Food reset and fell in love with whole-food plant-based eating.  Her chocolate cravings melted away, gained more energy, and her blood pressure went down 30 points.  Further research led her to The Forks Over Knives Plant-Based Certification with Rouxbe Culinary School, Dr. Neal Bernard and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), and the PCRM Food for Life Instructor Training program.

Kathleen is happy to help communities and organizations in Newnan, GA and surrounding areas discover the joy and adventure in eating whole-food plants and the many benefits it can bring to their health and life.
