Noah Praamsma, MS, RDN

Nutrition Education Coordinator

Noah Praamsma, MS, RDN, is a nutrition education coordinator with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. In this role, he helps deliver nutrition education to medical students, health professionals, and the public through speaking engagements, project management, research, and advocacy.

Noah earned his bachelor’s degree in biology/premedicine from Calvin University, where he was first introduced to the powerful role of plant-based nutrition for disease prevention, health promotion, environmental sustainability, and acting peaceably towards animals. He went on to complete a Master of Science in Dietetics at the University of Vermont, focusing on community nutrition and sustainable food systems.

Before joining the Physicians Committee, Noah contributed to the development of a breastfeeding education app for the WIC program in Vermont. He has also held several positions within Burlington’s Parks and Recreation Department, including a term with AmeriCorps and as the director of a nutrition-focused summer camp. Noah has served in public policy coordinator and secretary roles with the Vermont and Washington, DC affiliates of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, respectively.

Noah lives in Washington, DC, where he and his wife are active in their church community and enjoy hosting friends for plant-powered meals. Together, they stay active training for marathons, triathlons, and bike commuting throughout the city.
