Kara Thornton

Originally from Singapore, Kara Thornton graduated from U.S.C. Annenberg School for Communication on a presidential scholarship. She and her husband run a small tech company. At 40, she developed stage 2 thyroid cancer. Her endocrinologist wanted to give her a thyroidectomy to remove her entire thyroid. She asked for a 2nd opinion and went with a whole food plant-based diet. Today, she still keeps her thyroid. She wants to give back to her community by teaching Food for Life classes.
