Leslie started transitioning to a plant-based lifestyle shortly after COVID started in 2020. She had been challenged by her weight her whole adult life and was technically obese. The journey started by giving up added sugar and processed food. Then, she slowly transitioned to a plant-based lifestyle, that has allowed her to achieve and maintain a healthy weight (40 pounds lighter). She is a graduate of the Rouxbe Plant-Based Professional Chef program and manages a Facebook group 'Plant Powered Payson.' Leslie teaches Whole Food Plant Based (WFPB) cooking & Food for Life Classes, demos recipes at the local  Farmers Market, and works with people transitioning to a Plant Powered lifestyle. Her goal is to share with people how to participate in their own health and wellness by adding more plants to their plate. 'Your Health is Your Wealth.'
