Founded in 2026, the Cedar Valley Plant-Based Community (CVPBC) is the in-person plant-based community initiative of Mischievous Monsters, based in Waterloo and Cedar Falls, Iowa. Our mission is to make plant-based living more accessible and welcoming through local events, restaurant meetups, educational experiences, and community collaboration.

Our vision is to create a welcoming and supportive plant-based community in the Cedar Valley where people can connect, explore vegan living, and feel encouraged wherever they are on their journey. Our membership includes vegans, vegetarians, and plant-curious individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels. Through restaurant meetups, local events, and community gatherings, we aim to foster a positive, inclusive culture centered around kindness, accessibility, and connection.
