As an organization dedicated to promoting preventive medicine and plant-based nutrition, the Physicians Committee has a vegan office environment.

The Physicians Committee’s salaries take into consideration a variety of factors. Position levels are used to guide compensation decisions. The Physicians Committee’s levels of employment include: Associate, Coordinator, Specialist/Manager, Senior Specialist/Manager, Department Director, Vice President and Medical Doctor and correlate to the level of experience and skill required to perform a particular job. Below is a summary of the years of work experience that typically correlate to the Physicians Committee’s levels of employment:

• Associates average 4 years of total work experience.

• Coordinators average 12 years of total work experience.

• Specialists/Managers average 15 years of total work experience.

• Senior Specialists/Managers average 25 years of total work experience.

• Department Directors average 20 years of total work experience.

• Vice Presidents average 27 years of total work experience.

These levels are interdepartmental and therefore encompass a variety of functional areas. Within each level salaries are further guided by nonprofit and for-profit market data for various functional areas and consideration of a role’s scope and demands. Candidates are encouraged to discuss salary with a position’s hiring manager early in the interview process to ensure alignment.
