Make Hospital Food Healthy

The Physicians Committee

Make Hospital Food Healthy

The Physicians Committee’s Make Hospital Food Healthy campaign urges hospitals create a healthy hospital food environment for patients, visitors, and staff by:

  • Improving patient and cafeteria menus by banning processed meats, including hot dogs, and offering more disease-fighting plant-based meals
  • Hosting restaurants that offer only healthful, low-fat, cholesterol-free meals

If you would like to improve the food environment in your local hospital, download the Heart Healthy Foods for Hospitals Toolkit. Does your local hospital host a fast-food restaurant? Check the list below.
