Ready to kickstart your health? This six-part Food for Life Cooking class is designed to get you excited about your health and empower you with the tools you need to get started: healthy recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, expert nutrition advice, cooking demonstrations, and more!

With the rise of obesity and Type 2 diabetes in adults and children, there is a real need to make better, more informed choices when it comes to our diet & lifestyle. Even if you don’t need to lose weight, or don’t have diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, dementia, inflammatory disease, or RA, I’m certain you know someone who does. And they are probably close to you – possibly in the same household.

By making a few small shifts in how you eat, you can better prepare youself in avoiding these ailments, and in some cases, even reverse damage done if you already have them. With the help of PCRM's science-backed evidence and medical resources, you will be well equipped to transform your kitchen and your health all while building kitchen confidence to share and enjoy!

Based on the Physicians Committee’s successful 21-Day Vegan Kickstart book, this six- class series guides participants on a journey toward healthy weight loss, healthy weight maintenance, and an overall healthful and sustainable diet. For some participants, this may be the first time that food choice is prioritized over restricting food amounts as a guiding principle to support long-term health. This is a lifesaving learning experience bolstered by delicious plant-based recipes that help to lower cholesterol, control diabetes, lower blood  pressure, and even boost energy and mood.

Each class features a cooking demonstration, along with handouts of easy and affordable recipes participants can prepare at home.
