The goal of the Food for Life: Diabetes Initiative program is to empower people who have diabetes and those concerned about developing diabetes, along with their friends and family members with new information and skills. This is a series of 4 classes, 2 hours each - Intro to How Foods Fight Diabetes, Power of Your Plate and Grocery Cart, Understanding Type 2 Diabetes and Designing a Diet for Maximum Weight Control. 


This program offers a unique opportunity to:

  • Acquire knowledge about the link between diet and Diabetes 
  • Experience the benefits of plant-based nutrition
  • Learn the practical cooking skills needed to help you on your journey to better health


In this program, attendees learn all of this while enjoying cooking demonstrations, tasting delicious, healthful dishes and taking home useful class materials and recipes, all in a supportive group setting. This class is limited to 8 participants and pre-registration is required. The cost for the 4 week series is $125. Early Bird and Buddy discounts are available.
