‘Healthy Eating on the Fly Award’ for Newark Airport’s Plant-Based Thyme Restaurant

NEWARK, N.J.—Thyme, a new plant-based restaurant located in United’s Terminal C at Newark Liberty International Airport, earns the “Healthy Eating on the Fly Award” from the Physicians Committee, a nonprofit of 12,000 doctors prescribing a healthful diet as a first-line approach to help patients treat and reduce the risk of chronic disease.

Awards Event to Recognize Heroes of Green and Open Neuroscience

Atlanta Physicians Prescribe Food as Medicine for Nov. 1 Health Challenge

ATLANTA—On Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, four Atlanta physicians prescribe a plant-based diet to help patients and local residents treat the root cause and early symptoms of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease for 21 days.

The dietary pattern—rich in vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and legumes—is scientifically proven to boost metabolism, lower blood pressure, improve cholesterol, and stabilize blood sugar.
