Second Edition of ‘Nutrition Guide’ Debuts
After working with nearly 100 medical reviewers and editors for over two years, PCRM launched a second edition of its highly regarded Nutrition Guide for Clinicians in April.
The generous help of sponsors enabled PCRM to distribute more than 18,000 free copies to second-year medical students across the United States and Canada.
The guide is a comprehensive, portable medical reference manual that covers 93 diseases and conditions, including risk factors, diagnoses, and typical treatments. Most important, it provides the latest evidence-based information on nutrition’s role in prevention and treatment. It also describes helpful ways to talk with patients about dietary changes and thoroughly explains macronutrients, micronutrients, and nutritional requirements for all stages of life. The 745-page guide is designed for use by medical professionals.
