Marc D. Breton, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of research at the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, Va.
Dr. Breton’s research interests include modeling and simulation of blood glucose dynamics and the regulatory hormones network; modeling and simulation of the effect of exercise on glucose/insulin dynamics; modeling of the heart-glucose dynamics relationship; the artificial pancreas in diabetes: subcutaneous sensing/actuation closed loop systems; and optimization of continuous glucose sensor via signal processing and time series.
Dr. Breton’s work has appeared in numerous publications, including the Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology and the Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation.
Dr. Breton received his doctorate in systems and information engineering, with a specialization in time series analysis, from the University of Virginia.
