List of Osteopathic Medical Schools With Live Animal Laboratories:
Eighteen of the 20 osteopathic medical schools in the United States have eliminated their use of live animal laboratories in favor of cost-effective and humane alternatives. Below is a list of the remaining two osteopathic medical schools that continue to use animals in their curricula. Please write letters to encourage them to institute alternatives.
Please note that this list includes only schools that use live animal laboratories to train medical students and does not refer to basic research that may be conducted at medical schools and universities.
