it’s in the hospital cafeteria. But a new nationwide survey conducted by PCRM nutrition scientists shows just the opposite.
Fewer than one-third of all participating hospitals offer either a daily salad bar or a low-fat vegetarian option.

Let’s Get Virtual: Surgery Classes to Replace Goats with Simulation
More than 80 percent of all U.S. medical schools have stopped using live animals to teach physiology and surgery.
We’re pleased to report that the University of Texas in San Antonio is moving in that direction as well.
The surgery department has decided to give up its use of live goats and use cutting-edge simulation instead.
