Poll Finds Broad Opposition to Covance's Animal-Testing Plans
A new opinion poll reveals that a clear majority of the residents
of Chandler, Ariz., oppose Covance's plans to build an animal-testing facility
in their town. The results of the survey, which was conducted by the Summit
Group and commissioned by PCRM, were released at a June 20 news conference
in Chandler, a small town on the outskirts of Phoenix. What you can do >
PCRM Provides Wellness Policy Resources to School Group
As schools around the country prepared to create their federally
mandated local wellness policies, PCRM nutritionists created
and distributed a list of requirements and resources to
help local administrators implement healthy and effective
guidelines. Each school's wellness policy must be implemented
in the upcoming 2006-07 school year, according to the 2004
reauthorization of the Child Nutrition Act. Learn
