Finds Broad Opposition to Covance's Animal-Testing
Plans
A new opinion poll reveals that a clear majority
of the residents of Chandler, Ariz., oppose Covance's
plans to build an animal-testing facility in
their town. The results of the survey, which
was conducted by the Summit Group and commissioned
by PCRM, were released at a June 20 news conference
in Chandler, a small town on the outskirts of

Provides Wellness Policy Resources to School
Group
As schools around the country prepared to create
their federally mandated local wellness policies,
PCRM nutritionists created and distributed a
list of requirements and resources to help local
administrators implement healthy and effective
guidelines. Each school's wellness policy must
be implemented in the upcoming 2006-07 school
year, according to the 2004 reauthorization of
the Child Nutrition Act. Learn
