Free Cooking Class for Cancer Survivors
Nonprofit Group Now Accepting Students for June

Washington, D.C.—Enrollment is now open for the vegetarian nutrition and cooking class series for cancer survivors scheduled to begin 25 June 2001. Offered by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), the eight-week course is open to Washington-area residents who have survived cancer, as well as their family and friends. A team of trained nutritionists, led by Jen Keller, R.D., will draw from a growing body of scientific research to provide information on nutrition and the prevention of cancer recurrence. Participants will also learn how to prepare delicious and healthful meals.

"Having beaten cancer, many survivors are ready for the challenge of switching to a more healthful lifestyle; this class gives them the tools to do so," says Jen Keller, R.D., PCRM staff dietitian.
