New Study Finds Eating Fish Does Not Protect the Heart
People who believe a diet high in omega-3 fatty acids from fish is cardioprotective may soon have a change of heart. A new study in the May issue of the American Journal of Cardiology suggests that fish consumption does not improve heart health or prevent coronary heart disease. Learn more >
New Approved Tests to Spare More Than 250,000 Animals in EU
The European Union has announced that non-animal methods will likely soon replace rabbits for testing chemicals that could be irritating to the skin or eye. Another new method will halve the number of mice used in skin allergen testing. These advances will save almost 20,000 rabbits every year and a total of about 240,000 mice. Read more >
