McDonald’s Staff Asked to Join this Month’s 21-Day Vegan Kickstart
Did you watch Kickstart Your Health on PBS? Now try the online program that inspired the show and the book 21-Day Weight Loss Kickstart. Sign up now to join this April’s 21-Day Vegan Kickstart. We’ve even invited McDonald’s employees.
On April 4, Bob Harper is back with our veteran team of 21-Day Vegan Kickstart coaches, including New York Times best-selling authors Alicia Silverstone, Marilu Henner, Kris Carr, and Kathy Freston, who also coached Oprah Winfrey’s vegan challenge.
They’ve helped the more than 100,000 people who have already experienced the Kickstart program. Here’s what a few of the January 2011 Kickstart participants wrote on the Kickstart Community Forum:
- Veganer: “This has been an exciting last 3 weeks. As a beginner vegan, it’s incredible how much I have learned. I tried new foods and loved them, tried new spices, and I enjoyed the cooking videos and the quizzes. ... Thank you very much to PCRM, the celebrity guests, and thank you to everyone who wrote in to the forum and to everyone who viewed it.”
- Kiwi: “I cannot thank the PCRM team for the 21-day kickstart, and my fellow food travelers who have participated in the forum, enough. You are all great and motivating. Yes - I could have done this on my own if I had to, but it was nice that I didn't have to.”
- Veggies4me: “I have been truly inspired by the recipes and messages and especially the posts on the community forum. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the kickstart team and Dr. Barnard and all who have helped to make this important change to so many lives, including mine. I have lost a truly significant amount of weight (15 lbs) in the 21 days without any struggle, cravings or hardship. I am eating healthy and nutritiously.”
Based on scientific research, the online Kickstart program provides all the support you need to increase energy, lose weight, prevent and reverse diabetes and heart disease, and reduce cancer risk.
The Kickstart could also help employers lower health care costs. Last month, PCRM president Neal Barnard, M.D., wrote James Skinner, CEO of McDonald’s—recently ousted as the world’s top fast-food chain—letting him know that he could trim health care costs by encouraging employees at its Chicago-area headquarters to go vegan for 21 days:
“As a physician and nutrition researcher, I want to propose a simple and sustainable way to bring down you company’s healthcare expenses: offer your employees the opportunity to make over their diets, as GEICO and Whole Foods Market have recently done, with the 21-Day Vegan Kickstart program.”
