Newly Vegan Celebrities of 2013
- Recently, Al Gore made headlines for adopting a vegan diet, a decision that many feel was a long time coming for the environmental activist. In previous speeches, Gore had acknowledged the fact that animal agriculture was detrimental to the environment, but he wasn’t quite ready to go completely veg. Now, Gore has officially joined his former White House companion Bill Clinton in the vegan world
- Twenty year-old actress, singer, and songwriter Ariana Grande recently tweeted out to all of her fans that she was officially going “100% vegan.” Grande feels that this decision is something to celebrate, and states that her “heart feels very happy with this decision.”
- Just last month Jay-Z posted a letter to social media stating that he and Beyoncée were planning to go vegan for 22 days. Jay-Z was encouraged to do this by his personal trainer and good friend Marco Borges, who is also a PCRM 21-Day Kickstart Spanish coach. Jay-Z says he is not sure what will happen after the 22 days, but that it just feels right to try it out now.
- Singer and songwriter Jason Mraz has also gone vegan recently, stating that his new lifestyle has changed him for the better. “I ride longer distances on my bike, can do more pull-ups than ever, and my brain seems to have a larger capacity for new projects, problem solving, songwriting, and fielding random questions,” says Mraz on his blog.
