Medical Student Outreach

In March, PCRM reached hundreds of future physicians at the American Medical Student Association’s 48th Annual Convention in Arlington, Virginia. Research Department staff distributed our award-winning video Advances in Medical Education, with Henry Heimlich, M.D., which documents Harvard Medical School’s dynamic alternative to live animal teaching laboratories, along with our ever-popular Vegetarian Starter Kit and other literature. Students were especially enthusiastic about our new Research Issues Compendium, Nutrition Curriculum, and Medicine and Society Curriculum, which were developed after students voiced the need for more information on these topics at last year’s conference.
