Persia White
Persia White can currently be seen on the hit comedy series Girlfriends on the CW network. The show is currently in its 7th Season
In addition to acting, White is a singer, musician, and songwriter. Currently Persia is working with her band XEO3 on her first album, as well as writing music for the TV series Girlfriends. Recently Persia collaborated with Big Boi of Outkast, as well as Jerome Dillon, former member of Nine Inch Nails. She has also worked with other great artists such as Tricky of Massive Attack, Dominique Miller of Sting, Gary Wallis of Pink Floyd, and Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Gos. Persia has written soundtrack music for three independent films, as well as the season finale song for Girlfriends.
Outside of music and TV, Persia starred in the made-for-TV movies Operation Sandman, opposite Ron Perlman, and Suddenly, opposite Kirstie Alley. She has appeared in various independent films including, Red Letters, opposite Peter Coyote, and the cult horror Blood Dolls.
White’s extensive television experience includes a series regular roll on the syndicated teen series Breaker High with costar Ryan Gosling. Guest starring roles include Angel, NYPD Blue, Brooklyn South, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and many more.
Persia is a human rights advocate, animal rights activist, and environmentalist. Persia was honored by PETA as a 2005 Humanitarian Of The Year, and in 2006 received an award from Farm Sanctuary for her work with animal welfare. She is a Board member of The Humane Society of The United States and The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. She is also an active member of Global Green, CCHR, and Hollywood Arts, a group that helps homeless teenagers and at risk youth in Hollywood. Persia co-produced the award-winning documentary Earthlings, narrated by Joaquin Phoenix.
