Freedman’s books, co-written with holistic nutritionist Kim Barnouin, promise a “no-nonsense, tough-love guide for savvy girls” and offer advice for adopting a meatless diet.
Published in 2005, Skinny Bitch began climbing the international best-seller charts after pop star Victoria Beckham was photographed carrying a copy of the book in a Los Angeles boutique. The book has now sold more than a million copies and helped change the eating habits of people across America, including Minnesota Twins pitcher Pat Nashek, who recently gave up meat.
