Nutrition in Clinical Practice Continuing Medical Education Seminar

Target Audience: 

This activity is intended for primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, dieticians, nutritionists, and sub-specialists such as preventive medicine physicians, endocrinologists, cardiologists, and others interested in nutrition and chronic disease management.

Accreditation:

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of The George Washington University Medical Center and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. The George Washington University Medical Center is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Physicians:
The George Washington University Medical Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 7 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses:
The George Washington University Medical Center is approved as a provider of continuing education in nursing (provider number 05-04-02) by the Virginia Nurses Association (VNA). VNA is accredited as an approver of continuing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.  The George Washington University Medical Center approves this activity for up to 7 contact hours.

Registered Dietitians and Registered Dietitian Technicians:
The George Washington University Medical Center Office of Continuing Education in the Health Professions is accredited by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (provider number GE004) to provide continuing professional education to registered dietitians and registered dietitian technicians. GWUMC CEHP has approved this activity for 7 CPE credits.

Physician Assistants:
This program has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of seven hours of AAPA Category I (Preapproved) CME credit by the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Physician assistants should claim only those hours actually spent participating in the CME activity. This program was planned in accordance with AAPA’s CME Standards for Live Programs and for Commercial Support of Live Programs.

Nurse Practitioners:
This program has been approved for 7 contact hours of continuing education by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Program ID 0701042
